Last week we brought you oldies we hope weren’t moldy, when everything we broadcast was recorded in 1970 or earlier. This year we flip the calendar forward (imagine one of those pages-blowing-off montages from a movie) so the theme is everything this week must have been recorded in the 21st century. That gives us a lot of leeway, as somehow we are already 15 years into said century, a good, at least we hope it’s been good for you, 15% (at least we think that’s how the math works). Indeed, incoming fresh-people this year at UCSB have practically only lived in the 21st century, something so astounding we can’t even make a joke about it. So tune in for a host of what we’ve thought is the best, from jazz to alterna-pop and perhaps a stray Kronos Quartet. Because at “Frank ‘n’ George” you never know who might wander in. We’ve got to start locking our doors.
“Frank ‘n’ George” airs Tuesdays 9:30 am – 12 noon this summer.
