On Monday’s broadcast of “The Freak Power Ticket” (February 23), host Ted Coe welcomed Anath White, a Santa Barbara-based contributor to the noted cinema website RogerEbert.com, to the KCSB Studios.
The two discussed: the year in movies 2014; a recap of last Sunday’s Oscars ceremony; the recent Santa Barbara International Film Festival; and Ms. White’s earlier stint in radio, which included time producing an AM talk show in Denver hosted by Alan Berg, who was assassinated by neo-Nazis in 1984. White went on to work as a consultant on the Oliver Stone dramatization of that story, Talk Radio, which was released in 1988.
Over the past 25 years, she has worked in a number of capacities in the world of film and television — as a researcher, coordinator, and producer — with such entities the American Film Institute, the Sundance Institute, Showtime Networks, and more.
“The Freak Power Ticket” airs on Mondays in the winter from 11am-12noon PST. Click below to to stream the conversation or to download an edited podcast of this FPT episode.
