Angelo Spencer Et Les Hauts Sommets

Angelo Spencer Et Les Hauts Sommets is a Seattle-based indie-rock band touring the west coast in support of their most recent release on Calvin Johnson’s K Records label, “World Garage.”

The title is descriptive of the sound created by French-born frontman Angelo Spencer, as the album features influences from Moroccan chaabi, Bollywood extravangaza, wedding music from Egypt and pure traditional music from the Pacific Northwest rock scene. According to, “songs on this album are celebrated in French, English and even Farsi.”

Angelo Spencer Et Les Hauts Sommets make a late-morning stop at KCSB-FM to share their ‘celebratory’ sound live in-studio on Ted Coe’s music and cultural-arts program “The Freak Power Ticket.” This latest incarnation of Spencer’s band is noteworthy too for including KCSB’s Rebecca Redman (of Watercolor Paintings) on backing vocals and keyboards.

“The Freak Power Ticket” airs live on KCSB Mondays from 11am-noon all the summer.
