On Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, students, faculty and others gathered in front of UCSB’s Student Resource building for a Teach-In on The Occupy Movement. The event, organized by the group Occupy Isla Vista, featured talks by UCSB Sociology Professor Howard Winant, UCSB Orfalea Center Research Assistant  and Huffington Post contributor Jack Ucciferri, and KCSB’s own adviser Elizabeth Robinson and General Manager Eric Wolff.

KCSB broadcast the first half hour of the teach-in (from 12:30 to 1pm) live on air, including the opening declaration of the purpose, Robinson and Wolff’s presentation on media and the question and answer session.
