belated may day and pete birthday songs
Back after a couple of weeks on the road—and having therefore missed the chance to observe Pete Seeger’s 95th birthday and to air our usual May Day/international worker’s solidarity music.
We’ll catch up this week—with a selection of Pete’s labor songs—and a bouquet of his songs ruminating about time, life and fortune as one might well do after living nearly 95 years. Along the way you will hear Phil Ochs’ classic song about William Worthy, intrepid black reporter and anti-cold-warrior who died this week at 92.
