On Monday, September 13th, Jim Cadenhead, owner of Cranky’s Bike Shop, appeared as a guest on “The Freak Power Ticket.” Cadenhead is the driving force behind Santa Barbara’s first ever Bicycle Film Festival and Swap Meet, a weekend festival that includes the following: cycling races and stunts, barbeque and/or libations (at Elsie’s on Friday and the Mercury Lounge on Sunday), and, on Saturday, two main events, a bike swap meet at Santa Barbara Junior High School, and at the adjacent Marjorie Luke Theater an afternoon and evening featuring several hours of motion pictures about the diverse global phenomenon that is bicycle culture.

In this entry you can find an edited podcast of Monday’s program. Host Ted Coe also wove a bicycle (and Richmond, Virginia) themed playlist around his interview with Jim, which you can access here as well.
