There really is no one triller than Bryson Tiller. Hailing from the same city as Muhammed Ali, the father of one set his eye on being the next legend from Louisville. Being inspired by Omarion at a young age, Tiller began practicing his vocals through self-training. His first official release was his freshman mixtape “Killer Instinct”, released in 2011 at the age of 17. Since then, Tiller has drastically changed his sound even going as far as removing his previous releases from his Soundcloud, wishing to keep the focus on his present sound. This has been an effective move as his Soundcloud has attracted millions of plays going as far as pushing his breakout single “Don’t” to incredible viral success. Viral success that led to a Timbaland cosign, opening for Travi$ Scott’s 2015 tour, and an offer from Drake’s OVO Sound label. The rising star instead chose to sign with RCA records joining fellow artists Miguel, Chris Brown, and Tinashe. Tiller describes his sound as a marriage between trap rap and R&B where the hard hitting 808s of trap music are finely blended with brooding synths, creeping keys, and themes of braggadocio and romantic missteps. This union comes to fruition throughout his debut album where he touches upon missteps in relationships, a desire to right his wrongs, and declares himself as a lyrical killer to the likes of Rambo. Tiller’s style has been compared to Drake, Tory Lanez, & PartyNextDoor, due to his tendency to quickly switch between singing and rapping whilst covering personal themes. From humble beginnings in Louisville, at one point even having to sleep in his car, Tiller has risen to releasing an album that peaked at #8 on Billboard Charts. This popularity sparked his 34 city nationwide tour, collaborations with Sy Ari Da Kid, Kehlani, and a future collaboration with Drake. Bryson Tiller is the new R&B artist jumping off the walls of college dorms everywhere onto the next big stage filling stadiums.  Tiller steps into a new era of R&B trailblazing a unique sound, all while promising more to come.
