Of his next broadcast this morning (Monday, April 11), Ted Coe, producer / host of “The Freak Power Ticket” writes:

“I first introduced myself to Chaz Ebert at a screening of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, a Russ Meyer film written by her late husband, the groundbreaking, popular film critic Roger Ebert.

Then, in late January of 2015, I had a brief conversation with her at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, after a screening of Steve James’ acclaimed documentary Life Itself, which documented Roger’s career and his struggle with the cancer that took his life just over three years ago, in 2013.

Chaz Ebert will join me live on today’s program, to share her reflections on Roger Ebert’s legacy, her work as the CEO of several Ebert enterprises, which includes being publisher of the terrifice cinema website, and to preview this week’s 18th Annual Roger Ebert’s Film Festival, which takes place in his hometown of Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.”

“The Freak Power Ticket” airs on Mondays in the spring from 11am-12noon PDT.
