So the classic of song structure, students, is this: verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus. That’s a lot of chorus, and frankly so much it kind of bothered us. So we decided it was time to celebrate all the songs that make do without a chorus at all. Sure, there might be a refrain, but it is music after, all, so you need that repetition and variation thing to make some meaning and emotion. Nonetheless, this week, the No Chorus show. And we promise we won’t play any oddly edited versions of Greek drama. But you might get ’60s psychedelic classics (drugs make you forget you’re supposed to do things like choruses, evidently), and some even older oldies, and stuff all the way up to the recent just released Destroyer album.
“Frank ‘n’ George” airs Tuesdays 9:30 am – 12 noon.
