We’re just back from Cuba, a week long Smithsonian led tour—and brought back a bunch of CD’s self-made by local musical groups we encountered on the way. We’ll share some tracks from these—a good way to sample the richness of Cuba’s musical traditions as a new era seems to be dawning.  And, we’ll be observing African American History Month and Langston Hughes’ 104th birthday (Feb 1). The 2nd anniversary of Pete Seeger’s death has just passed, and a brand new and exciting recording of choral arrangements of his songs has just been released—so of course we’ll sample that! Plus a surprise or two…
