Of his next broadcast, “Culture of Protest” host Prof. Dick Flacks writes:

“As Passover 2012 draws to a close we do our annual ‘Culture of Protest’ radio Seder. The traditional Seder is designed to remind Jews that they were once slaves, that their origin as a people was rooted in a struggle to be free, that they defeated Pharaoh. It’s a feast that calls us to renew the quest for justice and for a new world. The Seder has become a universal opportunity to express these values, and our show this year will intermingle song and materials from the traditional haggadah with contemporary reworkings of these and with the music of the American slaves that celebrated the biblical liberation struggle.”

“Culture of Protest” airs on Thursdays in the spring from 6-7pm.
