Tune in on Friday, January 18, 6-8 p.m.!! KCSB Film and Culture Correspondent Harry Lawton will once again bring KCSB listeners a two-hour preview of this year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Interviewees include film festival director Roger Durling, Russ Spencer (curator of the SB Independent filmmakers), Cristina Venegas (in charge of Latin American Cinema), Mark Manning (director), Aaron Rocket (director) and Prof Charles Wolfe (juror for the Santa Barbara Humanitarian Documentary award). This show is a handy run-down of the major events of this, the 23rd annual film festival, which begins next Thursday January 24th. Thanks to KCSB programmer Elia Vargas for engineering, choosing music, and imparting insights.
