Lissie, a folk-rock musician signed to Columbia Records, is headlining a benefit concert for Changing Tides Orphanage at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai tomorrow, Friday, August 17th.

On Wednesday, August 15th, Pierce Frawley, with the assistance of KCSB Promotions Director Nicholas Werth, interviewed Lissie (born Elisabeth Maurus), about her music, career, and influences. She also talked about the Changing Tides Orphanage in Haiti, which provides housing, food, and education in a country that provides education for only ten percent of the population.

Lissie currently lives in nearby Ojai, and this benefit will feature her, as well as George Stanford and Todd Hannigan.
