Welcome to the magic month of May. And thus our theme this week–magic. As long-time fans of crafty conjurers from Harry Houdini to Ricky Jay, we couldn’t resist this, as if we were a rabbit being pulled out of a radio broadcast thematic hat. (Does a tricky sentence count as a trick? Discuss.) So there’s a whole lot of magic music out there, and some of it will make it to the airwaves for our show, from “Magic Fingers” you won’t have to pay a quarter for (does anyone still make those vibrating beds?) to poet Mark Doty capturing the beguiling power of a NYC street peddler pushing his “Magic Mouse.” And plenty more–might we even have Pilot up our sleeves?
“Frank ‘n’ George” airs Tuesdays 10:30 am – 12:30 pm this quarter.
