One of the secrets in life is to take what might appear to be a weakness and trumpet it like a strength, daring people to call your bluff. So this week we’re going to revel in our many years on this planet, listening to so much music that we’ve forgotten…forgotten…forgotten how we planned to end this sentence. This week’s theme, 45 & Over, means everything we play will have been recorded a long time ago, at the earliest in 1970. (You can check our math, but we’re pretty sure that’s 45 years ago.) We promise not to just play the 1960s Greatest Hits, too, since we tend to like to put the arc in arcane. (And say things that don’t quite make sense.) Everything from “In Living Stereo” LPs–hope they play!–George still has from his parents to jazz from Frank, as he’s a jazzy guy.
“Frank ‘n’ George” airs Tuesdays 9:30 am – 12 noon this summer.
