This Thursday, December 5th, 5…4…3…2…fun!! will have THE SO SO GLOS play live. I did a show for them at the Biko Garage back in 2009 (listen: here) with Titus Andronicus and it was super fun! And then they all came back to our house and yelled a lot. It was a nice night!

They’re spending a bit of time on the west coast and we’re excited to have them in the studio. Also, love sibling bands!

“The So So Glos are a 4-piece out of Brooklyn, and consists of two brothers, their step-brother, and a close friend. The band self-released their album, Blowout, digitally in April, and Votiv recently re-released it digitally, and we will also be putting out physical product for the first time to coincide with their fall tours. (They’re currently out with Diarrhea Planet, then will be jumping on to be direct support later in October for Desaparacidos, and then will be joining back up with DP). Blowout has gotten amazing accolades from the likes of Pitchfork and Stereogum, was named one of Rolling Stone’s Best Albums of 2013 in their mid-year list, and just a few weeks ago was featured on NPR’s “All Songs Considered”; I’ve put a link below where you can download it. The guys were were also on Letterman when their album was initially released, which you can watch here.”

5…4…3…2…fun!! airs on KCSB 91.9FM Thursdays at 10p-12a. More stuff at
