On Friday, February 6th, indie-rocker Hanni El Khatib will perform at the new Goodland Hotel.

The Innovative Leisure artist, raised in San Francisco but now based in Los Angeles, blends blues, folk, garage rock, and many other musical genres. He describes his own music as “[s]ongs for anybody who has ever been shot or hit by a train”

Kathib’s recently-released LP Moonlight was produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach. DIY Magazine online says the “album should plant El Khatib as someone to keep a close watch on,” while the New York Times raves: “when he stakes out his bold territorial claims on garage rock’s fringes, there’s nothing that gets in the way.”

An evening with Hanni El Khatib begins at 8pm. The night’s opening act is still “To Be Announced.” The Goodland is at 5650 Calle Real in Goleta. Tickets are now online at thegoodland.com or at the door. KCSB is a media supporter of this event.
