To honor our veterans The Roadtunes Sessions has invited three UCSB student veterans from the UCSB Veterans Resource Center to share music they’ve selected with the help of other students at the Center and talk about their experiences. Kevin Hagedorn: Kevin a Staff Sergeant of the United States Army served in the 75th Ranger Regiment for 5 years, and served in the reserves for another 4 years. He currently is the veterans coordinator for UCSB.

Tamara Thacker:  Tamara (Tami) served in the United State Navy and was a first class petty officer.  She was a corpsman in the Navy, and served in a variety of places.  She is currently studying psychology.

Jesse Sheppard:  Jesse served in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years.  He was a Sergeant of Marines, and is currently studying accounting and economics.  He was deployed on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2010, and has been to Japan, Singapore, Philippines, and Hong Kong.  He was stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA and repaired aviation electronics, including night vision and radar altimeters.

The Roadtunes Sessions airs Tuesdays from 8 to 10 p.m. and Kevin, Tami, and Jesse will be on at the beginning of the show. Thanks for listening!
