Listen up for a tribute to the Icelandic Diva with an avant-garde streak — right down to the swan costume — and an otherworldly banshee wail, and learn about her role in bringing the sounds of Nordic rock, pop, and electronica to international audiences.

The program will also explore Björk’s affinity with 1990s Trip-hop music, plus works by her influences, assorted collaborators, and proteges. Hear her earliest output with anarchist-punk group KUKL and college-rock faves The Sugar Cubes, as well as a segment with other major Icelandic acts, such as Sigur Ros and Emiliana Torrini.

Tonight’s “Rock It Properly” will also share classic songs live in-concert, remixes, spoofs, covers, and all the trivia you’ve come to expect from Santa Barbara’s weekly School of Rock radio program.

Class Is In Session!

Rock It Properly airs on Sundays from 8-10pm.
