J.D. Souther will be featured on “Roadtunes Sessions,” Tuesday, March 17th, at 11 am. Host Andy Doerr will be talking with J.D. about his recently released solo CD, “If the World Was You,” his first in 25 years, and about his upcoming show at Tales From the Tavern, Wednesday, March 18. Souther is best known as one of the principle architects of the Southern California country-rock sound and played a key role in the formation of the Eagles, co-writing several of their hit songs including, “New Kid in Town,” “Heartache Tonight,” and “Best of My Love.” He has also written hits for Linda Ronstadt, including “Faithless Love,” “Simple Man, Simple Dream,” and “Prisoner in Disguise.” He has written many more hits and received countless awards, including Grammy nominations, American Music Awards, and gold and platinum albums.
