inferno-ad.jpg KCSB-FM is proud to announce the Santa Barbara debut of The World/Inferno Friendship Society. On Wednesday night, March 5th, KCSB, La Casa De La Raza, and the Scimitar Cooperative present the acclaimed 8-member punk-rock orchestra from Brooklyn, New York.

979557998_419a672692.jpgKnown for its bold and lively blend of punk, soul, cabaret, and “world” musical styles, The World/Inferno Friendship Society will bring its circus-like road show to La Casa De La Raza, which is at 601 E. Montecito St. (@ Calle Cesar Chavez). The band will be drawing from its decade-plus of making music together, and will be featuring songs from its recent punk-rock opera, Addicted to Bad Ideas: Peter Lorre’s Twentieth Century, a reflection on the world-battered, morphine-crazed, tragicomic character actor Peter Lorre, and a whole lot more.

Tickets will be on sale at the door.

Stay tuned to KCSB for more information. Showtimes, admission price, the event’s complete lineup, and other secret festivities will be released very soon!
