KCSB-FM is proud to announce our official co-sponsorship of the 13th Annual Frank K. Kelly Lecture on Humanity’s Future with special guest Noam Chomsky. On Friday, February 28th, 730pm, at the newly-renovated Lobero Theatre, the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF) will present Professor Chomsky’s talk, “Security and State Policy.”

Avram Noam Chomsky is world-renowned political theorist and Professor of Linguistics (Emeritus) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. According to the NAPF, Chomsky will address “two potentially existential threats: the continued threat of nuclear war and the crisis of ecological, environmental catastrophe.”

Professor Chomsky is “[r]ecognized the world over as an esteemed voice for equality, human rights, abolishing nuclear weapons and peace.” He follows former Frank K. Kelly lecturers including Dame Anita Roddick, Nobel Peace Prize winner Mairead Corrigan Maguire, Daniel Ellsberg, and last year’s special guest Dennis Kucinich.
