From November 4th through 6th, New Noise Santa Barbara hosts a three-day festival and digital music conference that will showcase over 50 bands at multiple venues throughout downtown Santa Barbara, as well as educational panels on the music industry with guests from throughout the business.
New Noise Santa Barbara kicks off on Thursday, November 4th at 7pm with featured guest Dr. Drew, host of Celebrity Rehab and Loveline, at the Arlington Theatre. Music acts connected to the festival include Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation at the Santa Barbara Bowl, Saint Motel, Fitz and the Tantrums, Voxhaul Broadcast, The White Buffalo, Peanut Butter Wolf (from Stones Throw Records), Dead Country, Nico Vega, TSOL’s Jack Grisham & the West Coast Dukes, Throw Rag, Gardens and Villa, and more.
The affiliated Digital Music Conference on November 5 through the 6th at the Canary Hotel features Kevin Lyman (founder and owner of Warped Tour), Ian Rogers (CEO of Topspin Media), Bob Becker (owner of Fearless Records), etcetera.
On Saturday, November 6th, KCSB will be hosting a special New Noise music event at Muddy Waters Cafe (508 East Haley St.) featuring The Moonlight Trio, from Los Angeles, a band that fuses roots rock, rockabilly, and cumbia music, with openers Twenty Hands High, a Santa Barbara quartet that blends punk rock with Americana music, and live KCSB deejay sets.
