The show marks the release of “Dark Cloud,” recorded by the Ventura quintet Franklin for Short, whose sound blends indie-rock, pop, psychedelic, surf, and alt-country elements. Opener Neal Casal is a member of the New York group Ryan Adams and the Cardinals and formerly with Beachwood Sparks, while Sparrows Gate is an indie “alt-country” quartet from San Luis Obispo.
