KCSB is pleased to announce its participation as a media sponsor of the 3rd Annual New Noise Digital Music Conference and Festival, which begins on Thursday, November 3rd and runs through Sunday November 6th, at locations throughout downtown Santa Barbara.

The Festival will include live music in six venues featuring such artists as Deadmau5, Phantogram, Deer Tick, Typhoon, a Shiny Toy Guns DJ set (with live vocals), Mickey Avalon, Dance Gavin Dance, Timmy Curran, The Entrance Band, Mad Caddies, Fruit Bats, Parson Redheads, Vokab Company, The Mutineers, Howlin Woods, and more.

The music industry-oriented conference, scheduled on Saturday, November 5th at the Canary Hotel will feature representives of such companies as Root Music (which helped bring band pages to Facebook), Topspin Media (an online direct-to-fan marketing firm), Nederlander Productions (the folks behind music at the Santa Barbara Bowl and elsewhere), and others.

Also, on November 5th the New Noise Music Foundation has joined forces with KCSB and the Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum to connect its conference-and-festival attendees to CAF’s radio-themed art exhibition Wireless, honoring KCSB’s 50th Anniversary! That day’s jointly-planned events will include a CAF smART Salon at the Canary Hotel, live DJ sets by KCSB programmers at Paseo Nuevo’s Center Court, and the Wireless opening night reception (from 630-8pm) at CAF.
