This week, a post labor day program. We take note, musically, of the national fast food strike scheduled for September 4 and the burgeoning of a movement to give low wage workers a raise.

And this year marks the 100th anniversary of the Ludlow massacre—when John D Rockefeller Jr. ordered the destruction of a miner’s tent colony in his coalmines in Colorado, resulting in the death of some 66 men, women and children. Woody Guthrie’s song has permanently inscribed memory of that traumatic event.

So tune in for some new and classic songs of the labor struggle down to now.
