kcsb_logo1At 12:00pm on Thursday, March 8th, the UCSB Men’s Basketball will play in the Honda Center versus the Pacific Tigers for the 1st Round of the Big West Tournament. The wait is over and now March Madness is finally here. The Gauchos, after being projected to finish 2nd in the Big West, enter the conference playoffs as the no. 3 seed, while the University of the Pacific comes into today’s game as the 6th seed. UCSB swept the Tigers in the regular season, but it is a tall order to beat a team three times in a row. Pacific is riding a poor wave into the playoffs as they have lose three games in a row. But as the postseason has proven time and time again, regular season statistics and win-lose records mean nothing because every team now gets a fresh start. It’s March and, in the wild wild Big West, it’s anybody’s tournament. Let the madness begin.

Joe Broder, Josh Fiacco, and Brent Pella will have the call live from the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The pregame show starts at 11:45am, and tip-off is scheduled for 12pm.
