kcsb_logo1At 12:00pm on Sunday, April 21st, the UCSB Softball hosts a series deciding Game 3 versus the Pacific Tigers. Yesterday’s doubleheader featured exciting softball marked with homeruns, walk offs, and excellent pitching. The Gauchos were able to outlast the Tigers in the first game, as Kathryn Pilpil drove in a run in the bottom of the 8th inning to give her team the advantage in a 2-1 score. In game 2, Pacific’s bats woke up and pounded UCSB by putting up 6 runs, while Keilani Jennnings’ 2-run homer would be the only runs the Gaucho would collect in the 6-2 loss. With the series tied at 1, the Gauchos need a win to share 1st place with the Tigers.

Mitchell Clements and Jacob Melendrez will have the call live from Campus Diamond for KCSB Sports’ exclusive presentation of UCSB Softball.
