Wasserman;Sancho8:2012As the 2012 elections approach, new laws have been adopted in many states to limit access to the polls for people who are eligible to vote in the US. At the same time, voices like those of Harvey Wasserman (freepress.org) and Ion Sancho (Registrar of Voters, Leon County, Florida), have raised alarms about manipulation of voter rolls, photo ID requirements, limited polling times and places in urban areas, and electronic voting machines, and the resulting capacity for elections thefts. Wasserman and Sanchez discussed these problems with Elizabeth Robinson as the major party conventions were opening. They also discuss some things that can be done to protect voting rights.
