the post may day special

We’re celebrating–better late than never–the international day of worker solidarity–May Day–with a two hour special. In hour one: a radio documentary on America’s greatest socialist leader, Gene Debs, produced in 1979 by one Bernard Sanders. You’ll hear Bernie himself delivering some of Debs’ greatest oratory. And then: classic and contemporary songs inspired by and inspiring what Debs called  the struggle for a better day. And we’ll include a tribute to Guy Carawan who helped create the singing civil rights movement and taught the freedom fighters, We Shall Overcome. Hope you’ll join in.
