Later today, Monday, April 4th, from 11am until noon, Ted Coe, host of “The Freak Power Ticket,” will be joined by guest David Novak, an Assistant Professor at UCSB whose field is Ethnomusicology. Mr. Novak will be discussing a class he is teaching this spring on “rock’n’roll documentaries” that will include free public screenings on Monday nights at 8pm in the UCSB Music Bowl, a film series sponsored by The Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Music.

Selections include tonight’s inaugural presentation, Don’t Look Back (D. A. Pennebaker, 1967), The Decline of Western Civilization (Penelope Spheeris, 1981) on April 11th, Anvil: The Story of Anvil (Sacha Gervasi, 2008) with Heavy Metal Parking Lot (John Heyn/Jeff Krulik, 1986) on April 18th, The Devil and Daniel Johnston (Jeff Feuerzeig, 2005) on April 25th, and more.

“The Freak Power Ticket” airs Mondays in the Spring from 11am-noon.
