a radio seder
Passover is the festival of liberation and it is increasingly something of a universal holiday, when we try to instruct the next generation about some of the history of enslavement and resistance.
Each year on the radio, we try to share the spirit of the seder at Pesach time, and we pay particular respect to the anniversary of the start of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising (April 19, 1943).
This year, we’ll feature Paul Robeson, son of slaves, singing songs of African American and Yiddish traditions pertinent to our observance.
