Earlier today, Editor-in-Chief Matt Zoller Seitz of RogerEbert.com published a new interview with the acclaimed indie filmmaker Richard Linklater, who discusses his amazing relationship with the real-life “Bernie” Tiede (subject of the 2012 [Jack] Black Comedy, Bernie) as well as Boyhood, his forthcoming drama shot over a twelve-year period. Inspired by this coverage, Ted Coe, producer-host of “The Freak Power Ticket,” is posting an edited podcast of his February 10th radio special, “Check You Linklater!” He writes:
“At the tail end of the 29th Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Richard Linklater (Slacker, Dazed and Confused, School of Rock, the Before trilogy, and more) joined me in the green room of the Arlington Theatre for a 20 minute conversation spanning the breadth of his career.
Finally, that interview is now available online, along with trailers, audio samples, and musical excerpts. I invite you to hear my tribute to one of the greatest filmmakers of his generation, Richard Linklater.”
“The Freak Power Ticket” airs on Mondays in the spring from 11am-12noon PDT.
