On Monday, September 19th, Ritchie Young, the frontman for Portland, Oregon-based indie rock band Loch Lomond joined Ted Coe, host of “The Freak Power Ticket,” for a nearly hour-long interview.

The two discussed a pair of Loch Lomond music videos, including director Hayley Young’s striking single-take production of their song, “Elephants and Little Girls,” and the band’s more rocking sound on their new Tender Loving Empire release, Little Me Will Start a Storm. They also shared perspectives on the Portland and Pacific Northwest music scene and more importantly the band’s upcoming appearance at the Mercury Lounge this Thursday, September 22nd along with Los Angeles group Paladino.
