Of the next edition of “The Freak Power Ticket” (December 14), producer/host Ted Coe says:
“I’m excited to be welcoming the great Roger Durling back to KCSB’s studios this Monday for a live hourlong conversation on The Year In Cinema 2015.
Director of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival for over a decade, Roger Durling is also a writer for the Santa Barbara Independent and a faculty member in the Film Studies Program at Santa Barbara City College.
I’m truly impressed by the growth of the non-profit SBIFF into a year-round phenomenon under his leadership, with their massive ten-day festival every February, ongoing Cinema Society screenings, The Wave Film Festival (which focuses on world cinema in spring and summer), and a weekly Showcase Film Series every Wednesday night at the Plaza de Oro Twin Theatres.
Roger has a boundless and infectious enthusiasm for people and culture, and it’ll be terrific to have him in-studio to discuss the best films of the past year — and perhaps more.”
“The Freak Power Ticket” airs on Mondays in the fall from 11am-12noon PST.
