High rents in Santa Barbara have meant that some of the area’s best music is being created by artists out in the hinterlands of Ventura, Oxnard, and Lompoc, CA.

On today’s Presidents’ Day edition of “The Freak Power Ticket,” an in-studio gig by (and interview with) the trio Saint Anne’s Place, from Lompoc, who will be dealing their psychedelic and blues-rock influenced songs live from Studio A from 11am-12noon. Stay tuned for the winner of the New Noise Music Foundation’s Downtown Sound “battle of the bands,” plus a smattering of music from fellow Lompoc groups and other faves.

“The Freak Power Ticket” airs on Mondays from 11am-12noon in the winter.
