An agreement has been reached between the American Civil Liberties Union and the Transportation Security Administration concerning searches. African-American women were specifically targeted with hair pat downs perceived to be unnecessary and due to racial profiling. A woman by the name of Malaika Singleton filed a complaint on this issue in 2013 with legal representation by Novella Coleman of the ACLU. KCSB reporter Casi McIntyre spoke with Attorney Novella Coleman about the details of the case and the implementation of the new agreement.
