“Culture of Protest” host, Professor Dick Flacks, writes of his next broadcast, Thursday, August 12th, from 6-7pm:

“Tuli Kupferberg died a month ago. The poet and artist was a seminal creator of the counterculture, a bridge between the beats and the yippies. With Ed Sanders he founded the Fugs in 1964, the scatological art/folk/rock band, whose works reverberate down to now. We’ll devote this week’s broadcast to Fuggish materials, emphasizing Tuli’s voice. It’s political wit of the lowest and highest kind.”

“Culture of Protest” airs Thursdays from 6-7pm on KCSB 91.9 FM.
