Hosted by musician and novelist Wesley Stace (aka John Wesley Harding) and comedian Eugene Mirman (Flight of the Conchords), Cabinet of Wonders is a weekly NPR radio program featuring musicians, writers, raconteurs, and comedians. Each show is a compendium of musical performances, storytelling, engaging repartee, and surprising collaborations.

Tonight’s Cabinet of Wonders appearance at UCSB will feature the following special guests: comedian Kurt Braunohler; Dean Wareham & Britta Phillips of Dean & Britta (plus Luna & Galaxie 500); comedy legend & filmmaker Bobcat Goldthwait; Alec Ounsworth (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah); John Roderick (The Long Winters & Harvey Danger);  veteran singer Ned Doheny; and novelist Matthew Spektor.

After a planned morning master-class tomorrow, Thursday, November 14th, KCSB-FM’s programmers and staff are also excited about the chance Wesley Stace might visit our studios during one of our special Fund-Drive broadcasts! (which continues through Friday night, November 15th) Stay tuned for updates about a possible on-air appearance!

Some were also pleased to discover a vintage KCSB-FM station ID recorded many years ago by none-other than John Wesley Harding himself! (Click on the player or download it, below.)
