Who’s Gonna Stand Up (And Save The Earth)?
That’s the title of Neil Young’s newly released single–an anthem timed for the great people’s climate march in which he calls for action to save the earth, ‘starve the takers and feed the givers’. There is in fact a bunch of new songs aimed at inspiring and energizing environmental activism.
Having missed the chance to share some of that before September 21—and since Santa Barbara county is in the midst of a big electoral battle to pass an initiative banning fracking and related oil extraction technology—our radio show, on Thursday, will feature such new songs for environmental activism mostly created in the heat of movement.
