Of his next broadcast, host Paul Rivas of “Class with CLAS” writes, “Join me for a conversation with Zach Phillips, a recent UCSB grad turned biology and writing tutor, who learned a lot about how to do college well by initially doing things the way everyone else did them, only to find out they didn’t work at all. We’ll talk about the importance of not taking notes in class, social motivation for forming study groups, doing extra work just for fun, writing about all subjects to understand them better, learning to have a good time in any course, and how to most effectively listen to music while studying.”

“Class with CLAS” airs on Thursdays in the fall from 8:30-9am.
